MYTH
WHAT WOULD YOU DO WITH THE TIME YOU HAVE LEFT?
A game show contestant spirals through the deterioration of their own existence when faced with the relentless passage of time.
In MYTH, I wore multiple hats as the director, producer, writer, animator, and editor; with a particular focus on the crucial roles of director, producer, and editor. The process involved assembling a dedicated cast and crew who played instrumental roles in bringing my vision to life.
One of the standout features of MYTH is my decision to create the entire film using 16mm film, a medium that adds a distinctive texture and authenticity to the film while playing into my thesis about deterioration over time.
The film unfolds in three parts, each showcasing a unique approach: "When? Since.", "How Long? Till.", and "Where? It Always Does.". The three parts are done using live-action, paper animation, and direct animation on 16mm film and contribute to the rich tapestry of MYTH, offering viewers a multi-dimensional journey through experimental, narrative, and animated film techniques.
